Box Score THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Brewton-Parker men's basketball program continued play with a road contest at Thomas (Ga.) on Monday night.
The Barons (1-6) bounced back with a 70-55 win over the Nighthawks (3-2) for the first win of the season. Monday night's game was a rematch of the forfeited matchup back on October 26.
How It Happened
- The Nighthawks opened the game with the lead and managed to put together a six-point advantage over the Barons just three minutes removed from tip-off. Brewton-Parker began edging closer to Thomas and eventually surpassed the Nighthawks to take the control of the score. The Barons held on to the lead for the remainder of the half and eventually closed out the first 20 minutes with a 37-24 lead.
- After the break, Thomas opened with a quick three to knock down the deficit, but Brewton-Parker responded with back-to-back buckets to keep their lead within double-digits. Shortly after Thomas hit several big shots from distance, chipping away at the lead. Fortunately, the Barons had an answer and quickly pulled away to a 22-point lead after three-straight three-pointers. Brewton-Parker managed to hold off the Nighthawks from producing a comeback by sealing the first win of the season by closing out the game with a 15-point lead.

- As a team, the Barons shot for 52.7% (29-of-55) from the field and 31.3% (5-of-16) from beyond the arc.
- Brewton-Parker gave up 12 turnovers while Thomas tallied 16.
- A pair of Barons scored double-digits on the night. Bryce Wilson notched 14 points to lead Brewton-Parker while TJ Taylor gathered 10 points. Nic Pullum scored nine points with Floyd Davis and Antrell Williams both recording eight points apiece.
- Chance Hatcher, Wilson, and Davis all picked up six rebounds each.
- Pullum led the Barons with five of the team's 18 assists.
Other Notables
- The Barons outrebounded the Nighthawks 34-29. For BPC, 24 rebounds came from the defensive end of the court while gathering 10 boards on the offensive side.
- Brewton-Parker produced 22 points from the bench while also notching 21 points from turnovers. In addition, the Barons totaled 19 second-chance points.
- The Barons picked up the first win over Thomas since 2014 and now own a 3-8 record against the Nighthawks.
