THOMASVILLE, Ga. - The Brewton-Parker Christian University Barons basketball team stumbled against the Thomas University Night Hawks after a dominant second half from the Night Hawks secured the 60-67 victory over the Barons on February 14, 2026, on the road.
The game started with both teams trading the lead early, but as it progressed, the Night Hawks built a nine-point lead with seven minutes to go. The Barons spread the scoring and rallied, cutting the lead with just under four minutes remaining, but a dunk at the final second allowed the Nigh Hawks to take a 29-28 lead into the break.
Coming out of the break, both teams traded scoring chances, and the lead never extended past six points until there were just under three minutes left. The Night Hawks held onto their lead until Bobby Blackwell III hit a free throw with just over six minutes remaining. Following the free throw, the Night Hawks went on a 10-0 run that would prove to be too much to overcome for the Barons.
Offensively, Brewton-Parker spread the scoring around, with Abraham Garjah leading the Barons with 11 points, including a 7-for-8 performance at the free-throw line. Tommy J. Tisdale III added 10 points, four rebounds, and two assists, knocking down a pair of 3-pointers. Jones provided an energetic spark with eight points, three assists, and a game-high four steals in just 16 minutes, helping the Barons finish with eight steals as a team.
The Barons will prepare for their final two games of the regular season with a quick turnaround before they host the Roadrunners of Dalton State College on February 16, 2026, and then finish the year on February 21, 2026, at Gillis Gymnasium.
