MOUNT VERNON, Ga. - Brewton-Parker College Men's Golf team participated in a match against Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College at the Spring Hill Country Club in Tifton, Georgia, over two days. The Barons sent nine of our golfers: Brinson Burdette, Anthony Cecchin, Arvid Dale, James Duggan, Nicholas Hofmann, Jesper Larsson, Grant Reynolds, Trent Jenkins, and Benjamin Searle. Both teams played 18 holes on both days for 36 holes and saw our players chase 72 on the course, hoping to reach or beat par.
Anthony led the Barons, shooting a 74 the first day and a 75 the next day. James Duggan showed the most progress from his score on day one to rebounding on day two, shooting 80 on day one and coming back with 76 the next day. Benjamin Searle was the picture of consistency, shooting 80 on both days. Brinson Burdette followed suit with an 81 day one and an 82 the next day. Arvid kept his scores close on both days, with 82 and 84 over his 36 holes. Jesper Larsson shot 81 on day one and 88 the next day. Grant Reynolds shot 85 and 89 over 36. Nick shot 83 on day one and 90 on day two. Trent shot 98 on day one and 96 on day two. The Barons hope to take this momentum and improve their scores as the season continues. The team is confident in their abilities to improve and hopefully see more players breaking par consistently as the season progresses.
The Barons look to get back in action on September 9 at the Coastal Georgia Fall Invitational.
