Box Score MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – In a rescheduled game from January, the Brewton-Parker Men's Basketball program traveled to No. 18-ranked Faulkner (Ala.) on Tuesday night.
The Barons (2-26, 1-15 SSAC) were dropped by a dominant Eagle (22-5, 14-3 SSAC) team, 94-63.
How It Happened
The game opened with back-and-forth play with the Barons managing to only tie the game early. Faulkner took control of the score at 16:05 building up to a seven-point lead within a minute. The Eagles opened the first handful minutes of play, outscoring BPC 20-5 to lead by a 15-point margin with 12:47 remaining in the half.
Brewton-Parker responded with an 8-0 run to pull the deficit down to seven points with 10 minutes left on the clock. Unfortunately, Faulkner made quick work of returning to a double-digit cushion and eventually closed out the half leading the Baron, 47-34.
Faulkner opened the second half with eight points in the opening two minutes to lead by 21 points. The second half was not much better for BPC as the Eagles outscored the Barons 47-29 in the second half. Faulkner closed out the game with a 94-63 lead for the dominant win.
