MOUNT VERNON, GA — Brewton-Parker Volleyball is ready to get the 2026 season underway with a new-look roster, plenty of talent and high expectations for what this group can accomplish.

After finishing 3-21 last season, the Barons enter this year with 15 new players and a fresh opportunity to take the program in a different direction under head coach Obed Quiles.

"We have the talent to make a lot of history in the volleyball program this year," Quiles said. "We expect to be at the top of the conference with the talent we've got this year. We are excited to see our students in the stands. They make the place electric."

Quiles will be joined by assistant coach Marco Macias, along with student assistants Raphaela Felisberto and Adriana De Jesus . The familiarity and experience within the staff is something Quiles believes will be important this season.

"Having a friend as your assistant like Coach Marco makes the job easier for us with all of the experience and knowledge he has from playing professionally overseas," Quiles said. "Also bringing Raphaela and Adriana on as student assistants is going to be a big piece of our success this season."

With a new group on the court, the Barons have set their expectations high. The goal is not only to improve from last season, but to compete near the top of the conference and begin building something special within the program.

Brewton-Parker won't have to wait long to see the new group in action. The Barons open the season at home this Friday as they host the Brewton-Parker Invitational.

BPCU will face Stillman College at noon before returning to the court for a 4 p.m. matchup against Brenau University. The tournament continues Saturday with the Barons taking on US Sports University at noon and Truett McConnell University at 4 p.m.

Four matches, two days and a home crowd to start the year. The Barons are ready to get the 2026 season started.
