How It Happened

In the second, an additional three batters were walked but the Barons were unable to produce a hit to score. Brewton-Parker managed to finally cross home in the top of the third inning with four runs scored. Zach Wilson scored on a left-field RBI single from Eduardo Castillo. Castillo and Drew DeMasi scored from Mackenzie McDowell's two-RBI single through the right side.

With the 3-2 lead, BPC added another run from a sacrifice fly-out from Tony Rudolph to bring home Jackson Smith. The Tigers answered with a run of their own from three hits and an error from the Barons to make the score 4-3 in favor of BPC.

Brewton-Parker's lead was quickly erased as Stillman scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth to reclaim the lead, 7-4. The Tigers notched four hits while taking advantage of another miscue from BPC. The Barons leveled the score in the top of the fifth with three runs scored. Jordan Rahn, Smith, and McDowell all scored from a triple from Matt Collins.

The sixth inning resulted in scoreless efforts from both sides with Stillman scoring three runs in the bottom of the seventh to lead 10-7. Another BPC error and a pair of hits for the Tigers assisted in scoring the three runs.
