MOUNT VERNON, Ga- Brewton-Parker Men's Soccer gave fans plenty to be excited about Saturday, closing out its preseason exhibition with a thrilling 4-3 win over USC Salkehatchie.

The Barons came out strong as Uros Andjelic opened the scoring in the sixth minute off an assist from Harry Mayhew. Aitor Novoa followed shortly after to put BPCU ahead 2-0. USC Salkehatchie answered with two goals to even things up before halftime.

After falling behind 3-2 in the second half, the Barons saved their best for late. Novoa scored his second goal of the match in the 85th minute to tie it before the Barons found the back of the net just over a minute later, completing the comeback.

BPCU finished the day with 15 shots, including eight on goal, and walked away with a 4-3 victory.

The Barons now turn their attention to the regular season as they hit the road to face Webber International on August 20.
