MOUNT VERNON, Ga. - Mount Vernon, January 27, 2025 - In a nerve-racking conference match between the Barons of Brewton-Parker and the Wolf Pack of Loyola, the nail-biting finish came down to the wire, with the Barons being edged out 72-74. Despite resilient efforts from Dre Burroughs and Tommy J Tisdale III, the Barons couldn't clinch the win in the game's closing minutes.

The first half saw the Barons trailing the Wolf Pack, with the score at 32-41. The Barons fought back valiantly in the second half, cutting the lead significantly with pivotal plays. Brewton-Parker, led by Dre Burroughs, scored 19 points, and Tommy J Tisdale III added 17 points and six rebounds. Additionally, Grant Sanders was all over the stat sheet with a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds, along with three steals and four blocks.
