GULF SHORES, Ala. – Brewton-Parker Men's Track & Field opened day one of the SSAC Outdoor Conference Championship on Monday in Gulf Shores, Ala.
The opening day was highlighted by
Hollis Morton with a third-place finish in the high jump with a clearance of 1.93 meters. Morton was followed by
Errol Quallo with a 1.87-meter clearance for fourth place.
Talon Walker gathered two points for the Barons with his mark of 1.78 meters for seventh place.
In the hammer throw,
Kohlman Greer placed seventh with a mark of 41.36 meters and was followed by
Dan Smith in eighth place with a throw of 40.88 meters.
On the track, the team of
Eric Smith,
Jonah Galli,
Jordan Hackett, and
DeMario Thomas placed seventh in the 4x800 meters with a time of 8:31.08. In the 10,000 meters,
DJ Christensen ran a time of 34:18.04 to take home fifth place. In the 100-meter dash prelims,
Travis Massey qualified for the finals with a time of 11.04 seconds.
