GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Brewton-Parker Men's Track & Field concluded the indoor season gathering a third-place finish with 113 points at the SSAC Indoor Championships.
The Barons' day was highlighted by a first-place finish from
Bradley Taylor in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.62 seconds. Taylor was followed by
Cayden Restrepo in second with a time of 8.63 seconds.
BPC picked up 24 points with their podium sweep of pole vault, with Restrepo leading the way with a clearance of 2.95 meters for first.
Derrick Reid and
Talon Walker took joint second with a jump of 2.35 meters.
In the throws,
Dan Smith took fourth place in weight throw with a mark of 13.95 meters.
Yabaka Moore produced a throw of 13.84m for fifth place and was followed by
Malik Brown in eighth with a mark of 13.60 meters.
Anthony Ferrie picked up five team points with his fourth-place finish in the 800 meters, running a time of 2:01.50.
In the 4x800 meters, the team of Ferrie,
Jonah Galli,
Jordan Hackett, and
DeMario Thomas picked up a time of 8:23.75 for third place. The team of
Errol Quallo,
Hollis Morton,
Malachi Williams, and
Sean Williams took a third-place finish in the 4x400 meters with a time of 3:23.40.
Next Up
The Barons will change gears and prepare for the outdoor season, taking on their first meet on Saturday, March 9 at the Clark Atlanta Panther Invitational in Atlanta, Ga.
