MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – Brewton-Parker men's basketball hosted Mobile (Ala.) on Saturday in Gillis Gymnasium.
The Barons (5-15, 3-9 SSAC) fell to the Rams (13-7, 7-5 SSAC) in a 62-48 defeat in which a sluggish start in the first half doomed BPC despite the efforts in the second half.
How It Happened | 1st Half
- Mobile struck first with a jumper from beyond the arc but that was the only bucket for two minutes as the Barons finally found an answer with a bucket from Aaron Udell.

- Smith led the way with four points.

- After a jumper from the Rams, BPC went on a 12-4 run capped by a deep shot from Grant Sanders at the 12:11 mark to move the Barons behind the Rams just 39-34.
- Mobile answered with a run of their own, scoring six unanswered points to move back to a double-digit advantage with just over 11 minutes to play.

- Just a minute later, Jeffery Huff Jr. hit a huge three-pointer to cut the deficit down to five points, but that was the closest BPC would be able to get.
