ST. SIMONS ISLAND, GA — Men's golf showed continued improvement this week at the Coastal College Fall Invitational, competing against a field that included several of the top programs in the NAIA.
The Barons posted a 76.8 scoring average across three rounds, improving by four strokes per round from their team average at the same event last season.
Freshman Vincent Lundmark led the way for Brewton-Parker with a consistent three-round performance. Lundmark opened with a 74 before carding a 77 in the second round and closing the tournament with a 73.
Senior Brinson Burdette also turned in a strong performance for the Barons. Burdette opened with a 72, followed by rounds of 78 and 76.
The tournament featured several nationally ranked programs, with No. 3 Reinhardt University capturing the team title at 27-under-par.
Brewton-Parker will return to action next week when the Barons travel to South Carolina for the Bob Jones University Invitational at Cobb's Glen Country Club.
