LAKE WALES, Fla. — Brewton-Parker Men's Soccer continued its early-season road stretch Saturday, falling 3-1 to Warner University.
Warner struck first in the sixth minute, but the Barons continued to create opportunities throughout the opening half. BPCU generated six first-half shots and four corner kicks but entered halftime trailing 1-0.
Warner extended its lead early in the second half before Guillem Ropero put Brewton-Parker on the board in the 61st minute, cutting the deficit to 2-1. Warner answered just over two minutes later to regain its two-goal advantage and eventually secure the 3-1 final.
Despite the result, BPCU produced plenty of chances offensively. The Barons finished with 15 shots, 12 on goal and seven corner kicks, compared to Warner's 14 shots, nine on goal and three corners. Ropero and Ilyas Nazih each finished with three shots on goal, while Uros Andjelic added two shots.
The loss moves Brewton-Parker to 0-2 on the season, as the Barons continue to look for their first victory of the 2026 season.
Brewton-Parker have it's home opener Wednesday, Aug. 26, as the Barons welcome Truett McConnell University for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
