Lakeland, Fla. -  Brewton-Parker Christian University Barons men's wrestling team faced off against the #3 Southeastern University Fire in a difficult matchup on January 16, 2026. The Barons did all they could but failed to stop the dominant Fire lineup, which claimed the match 33-3.  

The Barons were outmatched for most of the showdown, but one wrestler did score points. Timothy Mclean kicked off the night, winning the 125 lbs match with an 11-5 decision to claim the Barons' only points in the matchup. 

The Barons will be back in action on January 23-24, 2026, when they participate in the Missouri Valley Invitational. The Barons will look to build some momentum in their next time on the mats as they move into the final stretch of the season and prepare for the postseason.
