Barons Soar Over Falcons

MOUNT VERNON, Ga. - In a thrilling non-conference basketball contest, the Brewton-Parker Christian University Barons triumphed over the Florida College Falcons on November 14, 2025, at Gillis Gymnasium. The game concluded with a decisive score of 93-66, further extending the Barons' undefeated streak to 5-0 on the season.

The game began with the Barons establishing an early lead, thanks to Tommy J Tisdale III opening the scoring with a strategic layup. Heightened by consecutive three-pointers from Jayden Hill and Tisdale, the Barons seized the momentum. Despite these efforts, the first half concluded with the Falcons slightly ahead, holding a 43-40 lead over the Barons.

As the second half started, the Barons intensified their gameplay. Key plays from Gil Gonzalez and Abraham Garjah catalyzed the Barons' scoring spree. Jayden Hill's explosive contributions, which included a dunk and a crucial 3-pointer, were pivotal. The Barons' defense, led by effective steals from Hill and others, stifled the Falcons' attempts to regain ground, ultimately culminating in a 27-point lead. The game wrapped up with Brewton-Parker leading comfortably at 93-66.

Prominent performances were delivered by Tommy J. Tisdale III, who scored 21 points, and Jayden Hill, who contributed 19 points, along with significant rebounds and assists. Gil Gonzalez dominated rebounds with 13 captures and marked a steal and a couple of strategic baskets, contributing to the victory.

Head Coach Leonard Epps praised his assistants for their strengths in helping the team make adjustments coming out of half and was pleased with his team's response.

Looking ahead, the Barons are set to face Dalton State College on November 20, 2025, in Dalton, Georgia. The team aims to maintain its winning streak and open conference play with a victory.
