MOUNT VERNON, Ga. - The Brewton-Parker Christian University women's volleyball team faced a challenging conference match on October 18, 2025, against the Faulkner University (Ala.) Eagles. The game concluded with the Barons unable to secure a set against the Eagles, ending in a 0-3 sweep.
In the first set, the Eagles set a strong pace, closing the set at 25-13. Despite efforts to rally back, the Barons recorded an 18-25 loss in both the second and third sets. Throughout the game, several Barons did their best to put points on the board.
Taylor Lamontagne led the team with six kills and also contributed significantly with 10 digs and five assists.
Amme Mobley was not far behind, managing five kills, four digs, one block, and one ace.
Adriana De Jesus also added five kills to the team's effort. On the defensive end,
Ryann Prince,
Raphaela Felisberto, and Mobley each carried out one block. Felisberto excelled in various facets of the game, recording the most assists at 11, the highest number of aces at two, and seven digs.
Looking ahead, the Barons aim to improve their current season record of 2-15. Their next opportunity comes against Point University on October 24, 2025, at Gillis Gymnasium. As the team prepares for their upcoming game, the focus remains on regrouping for another conference opponent.
