MOUNT VERNON, Ga. - In a conference clash on October 24, 2025, the Brewton-Parker Christian University Barons women's volleyball team faced a tough match against the Point University Skyhawks. The Barons couldn't hold on despite a promising start, eventually falling 3-1 to the Skyhawks.
The Barons started strong, taking the first set 25-20, showing impressive play and strategy. However, the Skyhawks quickly regained their footing, turning the tables in the following three sets. They won the second and third sets by identical 25-19 scores and closed the match convincingly with a 25-9 win in the fourth set.
Raphaela Felisberto was a central focal point of the offense tonight, with a team-high 14 kills and two aces, while
Adriana De Jesus added 10 kills and topped the digs with 15. Notable performances also came from
Alana Garcia, who led with three aces, and
Taylor Lamontagne, who had 28 assists on the night.
Despite their efforts, the Barons' current record stands at 2-17 overall and 0-12 in the conference. The team will look to regroup as they prepare for their next game against Blue Mountain University in Mississippi on October 31, 2025, aiming to improve their standings and performance as they enter the final stretch of the season.
