MOUNT VERNON, Ga. - The Lady Barons Volleyball team got back into the win column against the Wolves from Wesleyan last night. The Lady Barons managed to tally their fifth win of the season, reaching their win total from last season in just seven games this year. The Lady Barons managed to take the frustration of back-to-back losses and fuel them in practice this week, but they wasted little time jumping all over the Wolves. The Lady Barons beat the Wolves in three straight sets, getting back to their sweeping ways. The Lady Barons dominated in sets one and two, only giving up a combined 18 points over the first two sets. In the third set, Wesleyan did their best to give the Lady Barons a fight, but it still was not enough as the Lady Barons cruised to another win.
Coach Obed Quiles spoke to us after the game and shared how he felt about the team's response this week. "Proud of how our team responded this week in practice. We faced some adversity with back-to-back losses last week. The team focused on practice and showed a great response. I'm proud they got down to business tonight and got us back in the win column. Still plenty of work and things to fix in practice, but a good start."

The Lady Barons started the match with 13 kills, only three errors, and an excessive .526 hitting percentage. The Lady Barons only gave up four kills in the first set.
