MOBILE, Ala. – Brewton-Parker Softball returned to SSAC action with a road trip Mobile, Ala. to face No. 14 Mobile (Ala.) on Friday evening.
The Lady Barons (20-12, 8-8 SSAC) fell to the Rams (22-9, 13-3 SSAC) 2-1 in game one and 6-2 in game two.
How It Happened | G1 – BPC 1, UM 2
After a scoreless first inning, the Rams picked up a run in the bottom of the second inning for a 1-0 lead. The Lady Barons tied the game up 1-1 in the top of the third, as
Rylie Lumley produced a single and advanced to third from a stolen base and a ground out from
Ashley Wilson. Later a single from
Destiny Lucas brought in Lumley to tie the game.
The game remained tied for the next three innings, until the bottom of the seventh. The Rams loaded the bases and took a walk to score the winning run, ending the game 2-1.

- Brewton-Parker trailed 4-3 in hits with Lumley leading the team with a hit and a run while Lucas followed with two hits.
- Natalie O'Neal (11-7) pitched a complete game and gathered four strikeouts while giving up two walks, four hits, and two runs.
How It Happened | G2 – BPC 2, UM 6
In the first inning, a walk from Lucas and a single from
Tori Wright put two runners on the bases. Lucas scored off a base hit from
Taylor Elliott for the 1-0 lead. The Rams answered and tied the game up 1-1 with a three-hit inning.
In the bottom of the second inning, Mobile took a 4-1 lead with a series of hits and a few walks. The Lady Barons scored again in the top of the fifth, starting with a lead off single from
Alexis Bradshaw and she advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt from Lucas. Wright picked up a single to bring home Bradshaw to cut the Rams lead down to 4-2.
The Rams picked up two more runs in the bottom of the fifth and held off BPC to end the game 6-2.

- BPC led 8-7 in hits.
- Wright led the team with three hits while Hailey Gabrich had two.
- Chloe Strickland and Elliott produced one hit each.
- Bradshaw had one hit and one run while Lucas had one run.
- Kira Altman (10-5) pitched six innings and produced two strikeouts while giving up four walks, seven hits, and six runs.
