THOMASVILLE, Ga. – Brewton-Parker Women's Basketball traveled to Thomasville, Ga. for a Southern States Athletic Conference road contest at Thomas (Ga.) on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Barons (16-11, 8-9 SSAC) defeated the Night Hawks (3-24, 1-18 SSAC) with a 61-43 win to snap a three-game skid, leaving just one regular season contest to play.

Steve Edwards said. "We were solid defensively and our leaders were able to close for us tonight. I am proud of our group."
How It Happened | First Quarter
Thomas scored first within 45 seconds before a layup from
Madison Evans and a trey from
A'Aliyah Clay gave Brewton-Parker an early 5-3 lead with 7:12 on the clock. After a go-ahead three-pointer from the Night Hawks, the Lady Barons responded with 9-0 to pull out to a 14-6 lead with 2:47 remaining.
The Night Hawks would score once more before a trey from
Angel McRae and a jumper from Evans shut the quarter down with a 19-8 BPC lead. The Lady Barons finished shooting 8-for-16 from the field and 3-of-6 from three.
How It Happened | Second Quarter
Brewton-Parker would open the first three minutes of the second quarter with a 27-12 lead, producing an 8-4 run. Thomas battled in the second quarter, finishing with a 15-11 stretch of scoring to cut the BPC deficit to 11 at the break.
The quarter's final two and a half minutes was all Thomas as the Night Hawks finished the quarter behind Brewton-Parker 38-27. TU leveled 19-19 with BPC in the quarter.
How It Happened | Third Quarter
After an opening 6-2 run from the hosts, Brewton-Parker followed with a 13-2 run of their own over the next few minutes. The Lady Barons were led by
Keonya Mincey with six points and Evans with four to move to a 53-35 lead. Thomas closed the quarter with a layup at the one-minute mark as BPC led 15-10 in the period.
How It Happened | Fourth Quarter
Scoring was rather sparse in the fourth quarter as the Lady Barons would outscore the Night Hawks 8-6 in the final 10-minute installment. Evans led with a 4-of-6 performance from the foul line to help produce a 61-43 road victory for BPC.

- BPC shot for 35.7% (20-of-56) from the floor, 34.8% (8-of-23) from three, and 61.9% (13-of-21) from the foul line.
- Evans led the game with a double-double, scoring 18 points while also snagging 14 rebounds in the process.
- Mincey was the other Lady Baron in double figures, scoring 13.
- Off the glass, BPC held a narrow 48-47 edge over TU.
- The BPC defense produced three steals on 10 turnovers from the Night Hawks.
