COCHRAN, Ga. – Brewton-Parker Women's Basketball finished the regular season with a matchup at Middle Georgia on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Barons (17-11, 9-9 SSAC) defeated the Knights (7-17, 4-14 SSAC) 77-59 to finish the regular season in Cochran, Ga.

How It Happened | First Quarter
Brewton-Parker struck first to start the game with a trey from
Angel McRae. Over the next three minutes, the Knights picked up a 7-5 stretch to keep the Lady Barons with an 8-7 lead with 6:12 left in the quarter.
BPC gained some momentum in the last five minutes of the quarter taking a 9-1 run led by
Madison Evans with four,
Cori Keats with three, and two from McRae to end the first quarter 17-8.
How It Happened | Second Quarter
Keonya Mincey continued the BPC push with a jumper to increase the lead to 11. The Knights took a 6-3 stretch to cut the lead down to eight with 4:55 left in the half.
A trey from
A'Aliyah Clay sparked a 14-4 run from BPC where Clay led with eight points and Evans with four to take a 36-18 lead going into halftime.
How It Happened | Third Quarter
The Lady Barons started the second half with a layup from
Tajahnae Wiggins and was followed by four unanswered points from Middle Georgia to make the score 38-22 with 8:18 left in the quarter.
BPC responded with threes from Mincey and Keats as well as a jumper from Evans to increase their lead to 24 points with 6:41 left in the clock. Both teams were stuck in a back and forth battle for the next three minutes with Brewton-Parker taking a 11-10 stretch that was led by Mincey with six points and Evans with five to take a 56-32 lead with 3:49 remaining.
Over the last three and half minutes, the Knights cut into BPC's lead with an 11-6 stretch to make the score 62-43 going into the last quarter of play.
How It Happened | Fourth Quarter
Middle Georgia scored first in the fourth quarter with a layup and a free throw but was followed by a layup from McRae to make the score 64-46 with just under nine minutes left.
The Lady Barons did not hold back, taking a 10-4 run led by Evans with seven points to increase their lead to 24 with 4:25 left in the game. The Knights responded with a 9-3 stretch of their own over the last four minutes to cut into the lead, but it was not enough, as the Lady Barons held them off to take a 77-59 victory.

- BPC shot 48.2% (27-of-56) from the floor, 37% (10-of-27) from three, and 61.9% (13-of-21) from the foul line.
- Evans led the team with 27 points while snagging seven rebounds.
- Mincey picked up 15 points while Clay notched 14 points and four rebounds.
- McRae led the game with 10 boards while also scoring nine points.
- Defensively, Brewton-Parker did well with 16 MGA turnovers and recorded 11 steals in the process.
- Middle Georgia secured the rebound battle 34-31.
