MOUNT VERNON, Ga- Brewton-Parker College's wrestling team competed at the Rocky Top Duals on December 14, 2024, battling through stiff competition. The Barons faced off against several university teams, ending the day with two critical dual meet victories. The Barons competed in four duals this past weekend, one against conference opponent Montreat College and three against Mid-South Conference teams.

The Barons defeated the University of Rio Grande (Ohio) 34-22 before edging out Montreat College 30-22. The Barons finished the duals with a record of 2-2, falling to Cumberland University (Tenn.) and Midway University. Notably, Zahquel Davis ranked #21, showcased an outstanding performance by defeating #19 Rocco Horvath from Cumberland, finishing the weekend undefeated at 4-0.

The Barons saw several standout performances throughout the weekend from several wrestlers, including Sean Houston going 2-1 and Keyshaun Taylor going 2-2. The Barons are set to continue their season at St. Thomas University on January 17, 2025, as they strive to improve on their current 5-5 record.
