MOUNT VERNON, Ga. - The Brewton-Parker College Women's Cross Country team hosted the 5k BPC Invitational on Friday, October 25. The run had to be rescheduled due to Hurricane Helene, which prevented more schools from making it to the meet. Despite that, the Lady Barons had their four runners all finish in the top 10, placing 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th while running against Thomas University. 

Catching up with Coach James Frank, he shared his thoughts on today's outcome: "The ladies ran hard. It was difficult missing almost three weeks of training because of the hurricane. Due to injuries, we didn't have enough healthy runners available to qualify as a team result today," 

RaaShonda Khalil led the Barons today with a time of 27:12.7 and was followed by Jaleah Rhett with a time of 28:14.1. The Lady Barons next saw Amaree Harmon finish with a time of 29:58.7 and was wrapped up by Mylan Turner who finished with a time of 31:48.5.

The Baron's next race opportunity is the SSAC Championships on November 7th.
