(RV) Women’s Basketball Returns to Winning Ways with 67-56 Win Over Thomas

MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – Brewton-Parker Women's Basketball welcomed Thomas (Ga.) to Mount Vernon, Georgia on Saturday afternoon for a Southern States Athletic Conference matchup.

The Lady Barons (13-5, 5-3 SSAC) took down the Night Hawks (4-14, 2-8 SSAC) by a score of 67-56 for the first home game back in Gillis Gymnasium since Dec. 4.

"Today wasn't pretty, but we will take the win," said Head Coach Steve Edwards. "We haven't been healthy since the break and our lineup has been inconsistent. I feel like we are out of rhythm, but we are working hard to regroup."

"Instead of making excuses, we are going to continue to work and play with max effort," Edwards mentioned. "We will get some rest and begin prepping for Faulkner on Tuesday."
