How It Happened | G1 – BPC 0, SC 9

Stillman opened the game with a score in the bottom of the first for a 1-0 lead. The Lady Barons utilized two batters hit by pitches to land a pair on the bags, yet left the runners stranded in the top of the second inning.

The Tigers jumped to a six-run lead in the bottom of the second inning, scoring five runs off four hits and an error from the BPC defense. SC added another to the tally in the third inning, utilizing another error from the Lady Barons as well as an RBI single for a 7-0 lead.

BPC found another batter on base off a hit by pitch in the fourth, yet left the runner stranded. In the bottom half of the inning, Stillman moved to a 9-0 lead with an RBI single and an RBI groundout. Brewton-Parker's lone hit of the game came in the top of the fifth inning from Skylar Strickland but that was all the bats could produce as the game was shortened due to the nine-run SC advantage.

Stillman responded in the bottom of the third, leading with a free base on an error followed by a sacrifice flyout to level the game. The Tigers then took control of the score with an RBI double to lead 2-1.
