JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Brewton-Parker softball traveled to Jacksonville, Florida for a midweek contest at Trinity Baptist.
The Lady Barons (3-1) downed the Eagles (2-7) in a convincing sweep, picking up two dominant wins on the road.

Brewton-Parker opened the midweek doubleheader with an RBI double from
Alyssa Usrey to bring
Alexis Bradshaw home for the early 1-0 lead in the first inning. The hosts responded well with a two-run homer to capture a 2-1 lead in the bottom half of the inning.
The Lady Barons recaptured the lead in the top of the second inning swelling to an 11-2 run, scoring 10 runs on eight hits in the top half of the inning.
Cayden Fleming led things with a two-RBI double before Bradshaw knocked in an RBI single to score the fourth run.
Usrey followed with an RBI single before
Abbey Flowers connected for another two-RBI double to advance the lead to five runs.
Chloe Strickland recorded an RBI double before
Josalin Whitten,
Cailyn Snellgrove, and
Skylar Strickland all recorded RBI singles to move the BPC advantage to 11-2.
Brewton-Parker continued to swing hot bats in the third inning, connecting for five hits to score seven runs. Usrey knocked out a two-run homer to give the Lady Barons an 11-run edge before Snellgrove produced another RBI single.
Leah Henry came in to pinch hit for Bradshaw and put together an RBI double to close out the inning with an 18-2 lead for BPC.
Bradshaw finished things in the top of the fifth inning, recording yet another two-RBI double for Brewton-Parker to move the lead to an 18-run advantage before Trinity Baptist was able to close out the fifth with an RBI single to move the score to 20-3.

- The Lady Barons' bat dominated with an 18-5 hit advantage as Bradshaw led the way with four hits and three RBIs followed by Usrey with three hits and four RBIs.
- Snellgrove recorded four runs while Strickland and Bradshaw recorded three each.
- Laykin Brown picked up the win, throwing for three innings and striking out two batters while Kristi Peters closed out the game in the final two innings, tossing one strikeout.

BPC struck first in the opening inning, scoring on a passed ball before adding four more to the tally in the second inning.
Natalie O'Neal connected for an RBI single before the Lady Barons found yet another run off a passed ball. Usrey continued to perform at the plate with an RBI single while Flowers recorded a sacrifice flyout to score the final run of the inning to give BPC a 5-0 lead.
The Eagles were fortunate enough to hold Brewton-Parker off, allowing just one hit in the third inning and two in the fourth inning before BPC was able to find a score in the seventh inning.
Flowers produced a solo shot to give the Lady Barons a 6-0 advantage but the hosts managed to connect for an RBI double in the bottom half of the inning to score one run in the final inning.

- BPC led 9-4 in hits with Usrey leading the way with three hits followed by Flowers' two hits and two RBIs.
- Ashley Wilson and Usrey each notched doubles to help the Lady Barons.
- O'Neal started in the circle and recorded the win, pitching for four innings and striking out two batters while not allowing a hit.
- Emma Garner closed out the final three innings, striking out three batters and allowing four hits to pick up the save.
