WEST POINT, Ga. – Brewton-Parker baseball traveled to West Point, Georgia on Friday after the scheduled weekend home series against Bluefield (Va.) was canceled due to inclement weather.
The Barons (5-4) split the doubleheader with the Skyhawks (3-3) with a 10-4 game one victory and a 17-6 game two loss.

Point responded with a solo score off a sacrifice flyout in the bottom of the fourth inning to pull within one run before eventually leveling the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning. The Barons utilized two hits to help produce two runs in the top half of the seventh inning to move to a 4-2 lead with
Kennard Dawson notching a leadoff single followed by a single from Worrell.
The Skyhawks knocked in their third run of the game in the bottom of the seventh off an RBI double, but the Barons answered with two more runs in the eighth inning to lead by three. BPC took advantage of a pair of hits as well as two errors from the hosts to bring home the two runs to lead 6-3.
A solo homer from Point moved the Skyhawks' deficit to just two runs, but Brewton-Parker had yet another answer by scoring four runs in the top of the ninth inning highlighted by Germany's three-RBI homer to move the score to 10-4 with three outs left to play in the game.

- BPC held a narrow 10-9 hit advantage in the game with Germany leading the way for the Barons with three hits three runs and three RBIs.
- Ty Cook picked up the win, throwing for all nine innings allowing four runs on nine hits while striking out six batters in the process.

Brewton-Parker started game two hot, scoring three runs in the opening inning as Worrell hit a two-RBI double followed by an RBI double for
Jacob Mantooth. The Skyhawks produced an RBI double for themselves in the bottom half of the inning to gain one run back before taking control of the score with six runs in the third inning and two in the fourth to lead 11-3.
In the fifth inning, Castillo notched an RBI single to give BPC a run back before the Barons added another off a flyout from Worrell to move the deficit to six runs. BPC produced one final run in the game with an RBI single from Dawson to move the score to 11-6 but the hosts went on to slam the door shut with six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to pull away to a 17-6 lead and eventually sealing the seven-inning win.
