MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – Brewton-Parker Women's Volleyball faced Mobile (Ala.) at home on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Barons (4-10, 1-7 SSAC) fell in three sets to the Rams (13-6, 6-3 SSAC).
How It Happened
The Lady Barons started the first set off slow, allowing the Rams to go on a five-point run before finally responding with a point of their own from
Amme Mobley.
After some back and forth between the two teams, the Rams took three-straight points, to make the score 11-4. The Lady Barons gained some traction as they gained the next four points. Brewton-Parker was able to score seven more points in the set, before ending the first set 25-15 Mobile.
BPC came out ready in the second set, taking a quick 4-1 lead over the Rams. Mobile responded with a three-point run of their own to level the set. The Lady Barons were able to go point for point with the Rams until Mobile took a six-point run to push the lead 13-8.
BPC gathered six more points, before dropping set two 25-14.
The third set started out with another back-and-forth battle before Mobile took a four-point run to make the score 6-3. The Lady Barons hung on tightly and brought the score within a two-point deficit before dropping four-straight points to go down, 14-8.
The Lady Barons kept fighting in the third set and were able to gain some momentum, making a five-point run, but unfortunately, it was not enough as they slipped in a 25-18 defeat.

- Mobile led the match 40-23 in kills with a .312 hitting percentage.
- Lady Barons trailed in digs 48-41.
- Mobley led the team in kills with 10, followed by Kinsley Jordan with six.
- R'eyahn Shaffer had a match-high of 14 digs.
