BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – Brewton-Parker Women's Volleyball faced Blue Mountain (Miss.) on the road on Friday night.
The Lady Barons (4-11, 1-8 SSAC) fell in three sets to the Toppers (15-1, 9-0 SSAC).
How It Happened
The Lady Barons dropped quickly to a 3-0 deficit in the first set before scoring their first point of the set. BPC was able to produce some attacks, securing five kills and a service ace on the way to a total of 12 points in a 25-12 opening set loss.
Brewton-Parker was able to keep the second set close early, until the Toppers took five straight points to take a 9-4 lead. The Lady Barons had one last attacking effort in the set, from
Jalisia Famber, finishing set two 25-9 in favor of Blue Mountain.
The Lady Barons went down to an 8-1 deficit quickly in the third set. A kill from
Keelie Jordan and a service ace from
Amme Mobley cut the Toppers lead to five. BPC gathered three more kills on their way to finish the set, 25-11.
