PULASKI, Tenn. – Brewton-Parker Women's Soccer continued the weekend road trip west on Saturday afternoon, facing No. 11-ranked Tennessee Southern in Pulaski, Tenn.
The Lady Barons (1-9-1, 1-7-0 SSAC) were defeated with ease by the Firehawks (11-3-2, 6-1-1 SSAC) in an 11-0 loss.
How It Happened | First Half
Katelyn Ladner ripped the first shot of the match heading towards the 3rd minute of play but was denied by Layken Stockstill who was opened the match between the posts for UT Southern. Just seconds later, the Firehawks found the back of the net for an early 1-0 lead before following up moments after in the 4th minute to lead by two goals.
UT Southern found themselves in a 5-0 edge after swiftly scoring at the 7:09, 7:52, and 9:39 marks in the match. The Firehawks held control of the match comfortably, scoring a sixth in the 11th minute and a seventh in the 12th minute. The hosts eventually moved to an 8-0 lead at the 17:19 mark with another score.
Shots from
McKenzie Tucker at the 19:47 and 26:25 marks of the match sailed high for BPC while an attempt from Ladner in the 28th minute went wide. Ladner recorded another shot on frame in the 31st minute and quickly followed with another attempt that missed the mark in the 33rd minute.
How It Happened | Second Half
The Firehawks moved to a double-digit lead in the second half scoring in the 62nd and 69th minutes before slotting home an 11th goal in the 78th minute.
Brewton-Parker struggled offensively in the second half as the Lady Barons were unable to register a single attempt while UT Southern finished the half with 13 shots overall.

- The Firehawks held a dominant 26-6 shot advantage with a 17-2 shot on goal edge as well.
