MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – Brewton-Parker men's wrestling returned home for an AAC contest against Keiser (Fla.) on Saturday afternoon in Gillis Gymnasium.
Prior to the dual, the wrestling program honored two special seniors for their dedication to the program and for being integral pieces to the BPC wrestling program. The two seniors recognized were Joel Faglier and Rolando Tinoco.
How It Happened
Zachary McFarland (125) opened the dual up with a 6-5 decision over Kaluvv Peterson to give BPC an early 3-0 advantage. Dennis McNeal (133) followed up with a 6-3 decision against Bryce Cockrell to boost BPC's advantage to six points.
The Seahawks leveled things 6-6 with Patrick Gould pinning (0:45) Keyshaun Taylor (141) just before Kullum Irvin (149) reclaimed the lead with a 5-3 decision over James Berline. Bradley Owens (157) fell by way of a 3-2 decision from Brady Ellison which equalized the team score at nine-all.
The tide shifted for Keiser as they claimed a 15-9 lead from a forfeit victory at 165 which sparked the following four bouts. Dominic Martinez (174) fell to Adam El Damir by a 6-2 decision with Charlie Henkel (184) losing by a fall (1:25) to Brett Bosserman to move Keiser's lead to 24-9.
Ethan Larsen (197) was beaten out by a pin (4:22) from Jared Tracey while Earnest Johnson produced a 10-1 major decision over Wilkinson Saul (285) to close out the dual with the 34-9 win in hand.

The Barons fall to 3-13 on the season and 1-5 in conference action. BPC returns to the mat on Feb. 4 with a home dual against Southeastern (Fla.) while a few members of the program also travel to the Newberry Open.
