MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – Brewton-Parker Men's Soccer kicked off the 2022 regular season with a home matchup against Truett McConnell on Thursday evening.

The Barons (0-0-1) battled in a tough 1-1 draw against the Bears (1-0-1) as Sven de Heij bagged BPC's first goal of the season.

Head Coach Bob Neumann gave us his thoughts after the match. "It was a decent start to the season from the guys," Neumann said. "We've had a couple of last-minute knocks, not excluding myself, which changed around some things and the team handled that superbly."

"I think it is a promising start for the season, hopefully on to a win by the weekend," Neumann added.
