MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Brewton-Parker men's soccer traveled to Montgomery, Ala. to take on Faulkner (Ala.) in SSAC play on Saturday.
The Barons (1-9-2, 1-3-1 SSAC) produced a scoreless draw against the Eagles (5-8-2, 2-4-2 SSAC).
How It Happened | First Half
- Both teams struggled to produce a threat on the attack as Faulkner edged out the Barons 4-3 in shots during the first half.
- Jacob Shield notched all three attempts for BPC with a pair being denied by the Eagles' keeper in the 12th and 40th minutes.
How It Happened | Second Half
- Just 37 seconds into the second half, Derventz Altidor had a shot saved by the Faulkner backline to keep the scoreless draw.
- In the 69th minute, Kevin Neubauer had a chance on goal, but the Faulkner keeper denied the Barons yet again.
- Down the stretch, BPC applied pressure with Victor Garces recording a shot on frame in the 86th minute followed by Cesar Lopez's shot on goal in the 87th minute.
