MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – BPC hosted Blue Mountain (Miss.) in Mount Vernon to continue SSAC play on Saturday afternoon in what resulted in a bitter-sweet senior send-off.
A total of eight Lady Barons were honored prior to Brewton-Parker's final home match of the 2022 season. The seniors honored prior to the match were Kamryn Laster, Vayda Kozup, Yesenia Zamudio, Viviana Martinez, Lara Bernal, Kortnee Powers, Michele Benitez-Marquez, and Nashaly Rodriguez.
The Lady Barons (4-9-1, 1-4-1 SSAC) fell to the Toppers (6-6-1, 2-3-0 SSAC) in a 2-1 loss.
How It Happened | First Half
- Blue Mountain scored swiftly, finding the back of the net in the first 50 seconds of play.
- Megan Parker leveled the match in the 37th minute, taking advantage of a miscue from the Toppers' backline.
- The Lady Barons outshot BMC 6-3 in the first 45 minutes of play.

- The Toppers found the back of the net early in the second half with a goal in the 49th minute to secure a 2-1 lead.
- Brewton-Parker struggled to find solid opportunities, producing just three shots on frame in the second 45.
