Men's Soccer Suffers Narrow Loss to Bob Jones; Bruins Defeat Barons with Late Goal Heroics

Box Score

MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – The Brewton-Parker men's soccer program suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to Bob Jones (S.C.) on Wednesday night.

The Barons (0-5-1) were within victory's reach but fell short due to the late goal effort from the Bruins (2-0-1).

Coach Bob Neumann shared his thoughts after the match. "Tonight was really difficult," Neumann said. "From a performance standpoint, we were very good. We need to find ways to put the ball into the net when we develop so many chances, as we did tonight."

"What makes it difficult is the slate of matches in such close proximity to one another, which does not provide adequate time to recover physically and mentally," Neumann added. "However, we are looking to put the right things in place on Saturday."
