Box Score MOUNT VERNON, Ga. -- The Brewton-Parker men's soccer program fell to No. 6-ranked Mobile (Ala.) 7-0 on Saturday night.
The Barons (3-8-1, 2-1 SSAC) struggled against the highly touted Rams (10-1, 3-0 SSAC) to drop their first SSAC match of the season.
How It Happened
- The Rams opened the match with a quick score just 45 seconds after kick-off to lead 1-0.
- Mobile gathered another in the 5th minute to lead 2-0.
- In the 15th minute, the Rams scored with a penalty kick after the Barons were called with a foul in the box.
- Several minutes would pass before the Rams netted a fourth in the 21st minute before gathering a fifth in the 23rd minute.
- Mobile scored one additional goal in the 34th minute. The half closed with the Rams holding a 6-0 lead.
- In the first half, Mobile outshot Brewton-Parker 12-4.
- The second half was much slower for both sides until Mobile notched one final goal in the 86th minute to close out the match 7-0.
- Mobile tallied eight shots in the second half while Brewton-Parker recorded five.
