Adam Cokonougher serves Brewton-Parker College as the Director of Track and Field/Cross Country in addition to his role as the Assistant Athletic Director and Compliance Officer. Before coming to BPC, Cokonougher coached at Cincinnati Christian University where the Track and Field/Cross Country Program saw unparalleled success in their first season as a joint program, securing 38 of the Athletic Department's 66 points for the River States Conference's Commissioner's Cup. Under his leadership, the programs saw much success in the conference as the Men's Cross Country finished 6th, Men's Indoor Track finished 3rd, Men's Outdoor Track finished 2nd, Women's Indoor Track finished 3rd and Women's Outdoor Track finished 3rd.

Coach Cokonougher was named the River States Conference Men's Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year in his first season, while his Men's Outdoor team finished as Conference Runner-Up only missing the championship by one point. In the 2018-2019 season Coach Cokonougher coached in five separate National Championships: NCCAA Cross Country (Men's 7th), NCCAA Indoor Track and Field (Men's 6th & Women's 4th), NAIA Indoor Track and Field (Men's No Team Score), NCCAA Outdoor Track and Field (Men's 6th & Women's 8th) and NAIA Outdoor Track and Field (Men's 33rd).

Coach Cokonougher, a Xavier University Alum, lives in Vidalia, Georgia with his wife, Katherine, and son, Adam John II.
