Heather Smith began coaching at Brewton-Parker during the 2020-21 season. Smith has several years of coaching experience that spans a multitude of ages. Her passion for student-athletes was the main reason for wanting to coach the sport she loves.

"I have a heart for my softball girls because I was one of them," Smith said. "I did not grow up in a Christian home so I understand what most of our student-athletes are experiencing through the search of their faith and who they are beyond college athletics."

Smith has a heart for mentorship and a genuine attitude to serve the program by guiding each student-athlete through their life experiences.

"Being able to walk alongside our student-athletes through life and being able to share a love through sport is such a blessing," Smith added.

Smith was a student-athlete in the BPC softball program and graduated from the school in 2016. She is passionate about everything BPC as she also serves as resident director through student services and added a loud, "GOOOO BARONS!!!" to show her continual support of the program, athletics, and the college as a whole.
