Brewton-Parker Christian University

Coach Newgard has 22 years experience in Olympic weightlifting and strength sports. He is a former Junior, U-23, & Collegiate National Champion. He has trained at 4 out of the 6 Olympic training centers in North America for both weightlifting and bobsled. He previously coached at the Olympic Education Center at Northern Michigan University for 12 years. He has coached 17 International team qualifiers including American record holders. Has been a Team USA Coach for the 2014 University Worlds, 2016 University Games, 2016 Junior Pan-American Games, 2017 University Worlds, 2019 Egat Cup, and 2019 210 Tournament. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Human Performance.
