Coach Frankie Ruiz is in his 1st year as the head men's golf coach. He is also the assistant men's soccer coach. He played soccer at Brewton-Parker College in 2003 and 2004.
By 2005, Coach Ruiz ultimately decided to join the United States Air Force and honorably left USAF June 2017. He was deployed multiple times throughout Southeast Asia with the war effort on terrorism, as well as deploying numerous times around Europe and South America with multiple objectives. He is a United States Air Force Non Commission Officer Graduate and received the following medals: Military Outstanding Volunteer Service medal (for volunteering more than 1000 hours in the community), Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Valor medal, National Defense Service medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary medal, Global War on Terrorism Service medal, Air Force Expeditionary Service with gold border medal, Outstanding Air Force Training medal, Georgia Special Operations medal, Afghanistan Campaign medal, and the NATO meda. While in service, he also completed multiple leadership schools.
Coach Ruiz was a former employee at Ogeechee Golf Club at the Ford Plantation in Richmond Hill, GA. He was mentored by the late former golf pro Andy McDonald and caddied for people like John Smoltz and Greg Maddox there.
Coach Ruiz chose to coach at BPC ultimately because of its Christian values and teachings. He is looking forward to building the golf program into a powerhouse.
Coach Frankie Ruiz currently lives in Richmond Hill, GA and is married to his sweet, sassy southernbelle wife Mallory Ruiz of Vidalia GA. They have a 3 year old son named Beckham Ruiz who loves to play soccer everyday. He also has a son by legal guardianship named Cesar Lopez, an 18 year old currently playing soccer at Coker College in South Carolina.
