TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. — Brewton-Parker Women's Soccer opened the 2026 season in dominant fashion Thursday, rolling past Florida College 8-0 on the road.
The Lady Barons controlled the match from the start, outshooting Florida College 42-6 and putting 17 shots on goal. BPCU also held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks, while goalkeeper Angel Camacho recorded four saves to secure the clean sheet.
After several early chances, Daria Cwynar broke through with a penalty kick in the 42nd minute to send BPCU into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
Then the floodgates opened.
BPCU erupted for seven second-half goals, with Cwynar putting together a huge season-opening performance. She finished the night with seven goals on 16 shots, including nine shots on goal. Lena Szydlo added the final goal in the 89th minute, while Laura Marin recorded three assists and Gabriela Munoz added an assist.
The victory moves the Lady Barons to 1-0 on the season and gives BPCU an great start to its 2026 season.
BPCU will remain on the road this Saturday, traveling to Warner University for its next matchup.
