MOUNT VERNON, Ga. - In a challenging conference soccer game on September 20, 2025, the Brewton-Parker Christian University Barons women's team faced a tough defeat against the University of Tennessee Southern Firehawks, with a final score of 11-0 held in Pulaski, Tennessee.
During the first half, the Firehawks took a commanding lead, showcasing their offensive prowess. Tennessee Southern's Karla Montiel opened the scoring and later proved pivotal by scoring the game-winning goal.
The Barons' goalkeeper,
Angel Camacho, faced a barrage of attempts from the Firehawks, making 11 saves throughout the match. At halftime, the score already stood at 5-0 in favor of Tennessee Southern, and the second half continued similarly, with the Firehawks securing their final tally of 11 goals without reply.
