MOUNT VERNON, Ga. - The Brewton-Parker Christian University Barons cross country teams are gearing up to kick off the season on August 30th with the Julius Johnson Invitational. Head Coach
James Franks shared his excitement about the season kick-off. " We have a great group of Freshmen coming in this year. Combined with our returners, we look for lots of PR's this season!"
This year, the men's team spotlights seniors
Eric Smith and
Jacob Hackenberry, both of whom are expected to provide leadership and help lead the team this season. Likewise, the women's team counts on stalwarts Shonda Kahlil and
Danaysia Roberts for experienced leadership. Fresh talent such as
Lillie Brown is also anticipated to make a significant impact, promising a boost in the team's competitive edge.
Under the strategic leadership of Coach Frank and with a balanced mix of seasoned and fresh athletes, the Barons are not only focusing on elevating their athletic performance but also emphasizing the importance of academic achievements within their team culture.
