Barons Split with #21 Rams at Home

MOUNT VERNON, Ga. -The Brewton-Parker Barons hosted the #21 University of Mobile Rams for a doubleheader on March 28, 2025. The Barons took down the Rams in game one 4-3, dropped game two 3-1, and split the day.

Game one saw Tori Wright contributing two runs for Brewton-Parker. Lexi Bradshaw and Hailey Gabrich also scored, with Bradshaw not only adding to the scoreboard but also contributing an RBI alongside Cailyn Snellgrove, who drove in two runs, and Abbey Flowers. The concerted effort by the players provided the edge needed to outscore Mobile. The Barons were boosted by the efforts of Kaylee Odum in the circle, doing her best to keep the Rams off the board. Despite giving up a two-run shot, the Barons managed to hold off the Rams' offense and take game one.

In game two, Jenny Braddy was a standout performer for the Barons. She contributed significantly by scoring the team's only run and driving in the RBI. Natalie O'Neal took the mound as the starting pitcher for Brewton-Parker, putting up a resilient fight against the Rams' hitters. The Barons stayed in the game but were unable to put together much of an offense and were stifled by the Rams' defensive play.

The Barons now have a record of 11-16-1 and hope to get back in the win column with their next game. They will host William Carey University in Mount Vernon for a doubleheader on March 29, 2025, aiming to improve their season standings and grab more wins in conference play.
