Lady Barons Cruise to Victory of Knights

MOUNT VERNON, Ga. - In an impressive display of skill and teamwork, the Brewton-Parker Lady Barons secured a dominant 74-48 victory against the Middle Georgia State Knights in a crucial NAIA, SSAC conference game on February 22, 2025, at Mount Vernon. This win not only showcased the Lady Barons' dominance on the court but also set a positive tone for their upcoming postseason playoff run.

The first quarter set the pace for the Lady Barons, who overcame an initial lead by the Knights, ending it ahead 16-11. By halftime, Brewton-Parker had built a formidable 46-22 lead, thanks largely to a potent combination of aggressive offense and impenetrable defense. Sydney Beasley led the charge with a total of 19 points, including key 3-pointers and crucial layups. Chasity Degale and Andranique Stewart also made significant contributions to the scoring, each adding 14 points.

Angel McRae notably distinguished herself not just with her scoring but with a high overall contribution across the board—nine assists, 12 rebounds, and four steals—a true testament to her versatility and critical role in the team's dynamics.
