COCHRAN, Ga. – Brewton-Parker Baseball competed in midweek action at (RV) Middle Georgia in a pair of seven-inning contests in Cochran, Ga.
The Barons (7-6) split the Tuesday doubleheader with the Knights (4-4), dropping game one 11-1 and winning game two 7-4.

Both teams struggled to find production on the offensive side of the ball until the fifth inning where Brewton-Parker utilized a leadoff double from
Kendell Wade, a single from
Brandon Lawrence, and a throwing error to score the first run of the game.
Middle Georgia responded with a score of their own in the bottom half of the inning, bringing in a run after a pair of doubles to level the score 1-1. The Knights busted the game wide open in the bottom of the sixth inning, scoring 10 runs on eight hits and an error for an 11-1 advantage.

- Middle Georgia led 12-3 in hits.
- Wade led BPC with the lone double while Tate Worrell and Lawrence notched a hit each.
- The Knights gave away two errors while the Barons gave away one.

Brewton-Parker left a runner on base in the first inning after a single from Kirby before Middle Georgia connected for a two-run homer for the early lead in the bottom half of the inning. The Knights added to the tally in the second with another homer to move to a 3-0 advantage.
The Barons managed to gain a run back in the third inning as Lawrence reached on an error and was eventually brought home off an RBI single from
Drew DeMasi. Brewton-Parker fought back in the fifth inning, scoring a total of five runs to claim a 6-3 lead.
After a leadoff walk,
Kennard Dawson notched the lone single of the inning before BPC scored two runs on walks while the bases were loaded. The Barons added another on a wild pitch before eventually scoring two on a throwing error for the three-run edge.
The Knights scored a fourth run in the bottom of the fifth inning on a wild pitch, leaving a pair of runners on base in the process. Brewton-Parker added one final run to the tally with Worrell connecting for a single and scoring on a wild pitch for a 7-4 lead.

- Middle Georgia led 10-4 in hits with four Barons notching a hit each while DeMasi batted an RBI single.
- Dakota Davis (1-0) earned the win, pitching 2.2 innings and striking out three batters.
- Carlos Rodriguez (S, 2) earned his second save of the season, tossing for 1.2 innings and striking out five batters.
