HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Brewton-Parker Women's Volleyball headed to Hattiesburg, Miss. to face William Carey (Miss.) on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Barons (3-9, 0-6 SSAC) slipped to the Crusaders (7-14, 3-4 SSAC) in three sets.
How It Happened
After dropping the first point to the Crusaders, Brewton-Parker tied it back up with a kill from
Keelie Jordan, followed by a service ace from
Kinsley Jordan to put BPC up 2-1. The Crusaders took the next four points, before giving up a point to the Lady Barons and going on another four-point run making the set 9-4.
The Lady Barons started a run of their own, gathering three points, including two service aces from
Reyna Lampe, before dropping the next four points to the Crusaders. The Crusaders finished the set with a six-point run to win the set 25-12.
Brewton-Parker gathered the first two points of the second set and were in a back-and-forth battle at the start, until the Crusaders were able to make a five-point run, to take the lead 9-5. William Carey extended their lead to 20-8, after going on a seven-point run. BPC gathered seven more points throughout the end of the set, dropping set two by a score of 25-15.
The Lady Barons started the third set hot going up with a 9-6 lead, before letting the Crusaders go on a six-point run to take the lead 12-9. The Barons gathered another point, before WCU took another five-point run, extending the lead to 17-10. BPC would gather six more points before ending the set in a 25-16 loss.

- William Carey led the match 33-16 in kills and a .241 hitting percentage.
- Both teams made 40 digs.
- Naomi Taake led the team with five kills, followed by Jordan with four kills.
- R'eyahn Shaffer had a match-high of 13 digs.
