MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – Brewton-Parker softball hosted Trinity Baptist (Fla.) on Tuesday afternoon for a non-conference matchup.
The Lady Barons (7-3) downed the Eagles (2-15) in doubleheader action with a 6-0 and a 2-0 win.

Chloe Strickland connected for an RBI single to push across
Alexis Bradshaw for the first run of the game in the opening inning. The Lady Barons added another run in the second inning as Bradshaw recorded a sacrifice fly to score Skyler Strickland for a 2-0 lead.
A total of four runs were brought home in the fifth inning as the Lady Barons scored a pair off an error and followed up with an RBI single from Bradshaw to move the lead to 5-0 before scoring another off an error to close out the inning for a 6-0 advantage.

Brewton-Parker struggled to notch a hit until the bottom of the fifth inning with
Chloe Strickland producing a double to left field but was left on base. Brewton-Parker eventually found a pair of runs in the bottom of the six on three hits.
BryAnn Pound hit a single before advancing to second on a ground out and stealing third. Pound came home off a double from
Abbey Flowers while Flowers scored on a double from
Kristi Peters for a 2-0 lead.

- Flowers, Peters, and Strickland all produced doubles.
