Lady Barons Slip at William Carey in 79-61 Loss

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Brewton-Parker women's basketball traveled to Hattiesburg, Mississippi for a Thursday night matchup at William Carey (Miss.) in the first game of the final weekend of SSAC regular season play.

The Lady Barons (20-6, 12-5 SSAC) unfortunately slipped on the road to the Crusaders (16-8, 10-7 SSAC) in a 79-61 loss, snapping the 11-game winning streak.

"We were punched hard today by a good team," Head Coach Steve Edwards said. "We didn't have it tonight and a lot of that was because of how well WCU played."

"We were on an 11-game winning streak, and I believe today was a great example of how tough it is to win in our conference," Edwards added. "We will learn from this, and we look forward to our final regular season game at Blue Mountain on Saturday."
