MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – Brewton-Parker women's wrestling hosted the seven-ranked team in NCAA DI Presbyterian (S.C.) on Friday night for the final home meet of the season.
The Lady Barons move to a 13-8 dual record on the season after falling to the visitors 29-17 in Gillis Gymnasium.
Presbyterian opened with a swift 20-0 lead after producing four-straight pins as Elora Waterman (101), Gabriela Galvez (109), Jamesa Robinson (116), and Ali Rodgers (123) all dropped their matches. PC added four additional points as Jorie Richardson (130) gave up a 10-0 tech fall.
Leidaly Rivera (136) finally put some points on the board for the Lady Barons with a 12-7 decision, giving BPC three team points. Another pin from the visitors over Migdalys Ramos (143) moved the score to 29-3 before the Lady Barons closed out with an 11-0 tech fall from India Page (155) as well as forfeit wins in the 170 and 191 bouts to finalize the team score, 29-17 in favor of Presbyterian.
